In November 2009 we had a stimulating and informative talk on the Rose Report and the Say No to Failure Project by Mark Sherin, followed by a lively discussion. Mark is the manager of Lyndhurst Dyslexia Centre and was a member of Sir Jim Rose's Expert Advisory Group.

Our Spring Term meeting will be held on March 3rd 2010, when the subject will be Philosophy for Children. Tom Haward from Oriel High School who has been using P4C as an approach to the teaching and learning of history will be talking to us.

After our successful Study Day at Northease Manor School last summer we have a date for this year's Study Day, It will be held on Saturday July 3rd 2010. Our keynote speaker is Dr Geraldine Price from the Department of Education, Southampton University, with a talk entitled "How to develop independent learners", and there will be workshops to attend, exhibitors with their wares, and a very delicious lunch! More details later, or from Rose Sharp (see below).

Our termly meetings are held at Northease Manor School, Nr Lewes www.northeasemanor.e-sussex.sch.uk at 6.30pm and last two hours.

They are free to members of our local group and of National Patoss, and £5 for others - non-members are welcome.
