In May we had an excellent talk given by Lindsay Peer about Dyslexia in the classroom. She was able to give practical strategies to use in the classroom as well as much more detailed information on resources, etc for those working in assessment and individual tuition.

We held our AGM and a meeting for Assessors in June and have appointed a new treasurer and recruited five new people to our committee which is great news for Barnet Patoss!

On Tuesday 4th October at 7.30pm there is an Assessors meeting looking at recommendations and resources to use following a diagnostic assessment. To be held in St. Albans. Cost £2.

Ros Blackburn who is on the Autistic Spectrum will be talking about this condition and how it affects peoples' lives. On Saturday 19th November from 10am-12 noon in Enfield. Cost £8.

Please contact Miranda for more details and to book a place.

In March, Romit Bird, an SpLD teacher specialising in learners with specific maths difficulties, who is also an author of books on dyscalculia, will be holding a workshop on Dyscalculia. Book early as places are limited.
