On 23rd September 2009, Sally Wright, an experienced Physiotherapist, gave our group a fascinating talk about helping children with developmental co-ordination delay. She clarified the difficulties such children are likely to experience in education and shared realistic and practical guidance for supporting them. At the end of the evening Margaret Bevan and Valerie Hammond from Partners in Education brought their shop so that participants could buy the latest resources.

The next events will be our AGM on 24th March 2010 at Shaftesbury School, Harrow at 8pm. Valerie Hammond will be speaking about handwriting and she and Margaret Bevan will bring the Partners in Education shop.

In May 2010, Jackie Barker, who is an experienced yoga teacher and dyslexia tutor will be running a workshop at our bring and buy coffee evening. The theme will be Deep Relaxation and Meditation for Sp.L.D. Students and their Teachers. There will be a 45 minute talk with handouts followed by a 30 minute practical session of deep relaxation. Numbers will be limited to 20 as it will take place at 74 Love Lane, Pinner. If you would like to come, please book your place.
