Our last meeting was held 25th June 2009, in Dorchester. We had demonstrations of, and discussed, a range of resources including interactive whiteboards, Achieving QTS: Dyslexia Friendly Practice in the Classroom, by Tilly Mortimer and Jane Dupree, the computerised programs Reading Booster and the Automated Working Memory (AWM), and the structured phonic word game, Trugs.

Our next meeting will be in Dorchester on Thursday 8th October 2009. The agenda will centre on dyscalculia and visual stress. A dyscalculia screener will be demonstrated, as well as resources for assessing visual stress.

Our meetings are informal and focus highly on mutual support. We contribute £1 for attendance at each meeting.
