The group has met on two occasions since the last newsletter. At the beginning of May various members fed back, and discussed, the different workshops that they had attended at the PATOSS Conference. The June meeting was devoted to information sharing, and demonstrations of the Brown ADD Scales, the DASH, dyspraxia/ADD/Aspergers checklists, the Learn to Move, Move to Learn Programme, and the Inclusion Development Programme.
Future programme with time, venue and cost
The next meeting will be in Dorchester 16th October. We will be discussing various assessment tests for memory skills across the age range, as well as programmes and strategies for improving memory skills. We shall also be looking at a Study Skills Notebook that one of our members has produced to help her students, particularly those on nursing courses. Meetings start at 7.30, and there is no charge.
