WALTHAM FOREST Dyslexia Association
Passionate about supporting children with special needs?
Seeking a boost to your weekly income?
Primary and Secondary Teachers
are urgently required for Numeracy and Literacy Support Classes
£35 per hour Monday evenings term time only
to start September 2010
Waltham Forest Dyslexia Association (WFDA) seeks:
· Maths teachers with some experience of working with children with special needs. The ideal candidates will be Unicorn trained but this is not essential. A willingness to do such training (with the support of WFDA) is essential, as is a creative and enthusiastic approach
· Qualified dyslexia tutors to teach literacy classes
· Teachers undertaking dyslexia training - volunteer opportunities are available that could lead to paid work with WFDA
The teaching is in small groups of a maximum of three children who have similar needs and is held at Walthamstow School for Girls each Monday evening during term time.
The classes are funded by the Community Councils of LBWF and Children in Need.
Further details can be obtained from admin@wfda.org.uk
