Job Summary

Scanning Pens Ltd is looking for an experienced, professional and dynamic individual to join our expanding team. As Head of Education Services, you will be responsible for sharing and developing examples of good practice of our products to share with education professionals in a variety of settings including the delivery of presentations, seminars, school visits and exhibitions. This role is based from our Telford and Westbury Officesworking with different teams within Scanning pens including our Marketing and Sales teams.

Scanning Pens supply to trade, schools, districts, businesses and end users, we are the exclusive suppliers of all C-Pen Education products, including the C-Pen Reader Pen, C-Pen Exam Reader and C-Pen Dictionary Pen.

Job Role

To contribute to the improvement of educational provision and standards of the use of our technology for Scanning Pens Ltd by:

  • providing targeted support to schools and settings to improve adoption of our assistive technology and to improve outcomes for pupils with special educational needs
  • championing the learning needs of pupils with special educational needs through blogs, press and additional marketing routes;
  • lead national and international training and professional development activities for teachers of pupils with special educationalneeds; and
  • ensuring that the impact of the Scanning Pens schools’education programme isevaluatedand adjustments made as necessary.

To lead on delivery of national, international training and professional development within such schools or settingstosecure the necessary improvements in the provision and use of our technology for pupils with special educational needs by:

  • Designing and delivering appropriate CPD for the use of our technology;
  • Leading on pedagogical approaches to support the progress of pupils with special educational needs in the use of our technology;
  • Implementing effective planning structures to support staff on teaching developments using our technology
  • Speak nationally and regionally on a variety of topics that promote the effective use of Assistivetechnology and to promote our technology.

To contribute to the development of policy and practice in relevant areas by:

  • Ensuring up-to-date knowledge and understanding of national developments and school issues;
  • Applying this knowledge and understanding to the context of Assistive technology;
  • Communicating views persuasively in verbal and written form.

Ideally you will be/have:

  • Willing to travel extensively.
  • A teaching backgroundwith English or responsibilityfor SEN provision.
  • A sound understanding of how Assistive technologyis used to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Commercially aware, motivated and disciplined.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Responsive to customer needs and requirements.
  • A team player.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £36,000.00 to £45,000.00 /year
