Part time Dyslexia specialist teacher

Salary: £240 - £260 per Annum

Location: South East London

Description:

An exciting new secondary academy is looking to boost outcomes for its lower achieving pupils. To support this initiative they are looking for an experienced Dyslexia Specialist Teacher for 2 days a week from September, to teach small groups of students with literacy difficulties. They also need a skilled Literacy teacher from September for 3 - 4 days a week to work with pupils 1-1 and in small groups following the Hackney LIT programme.

The ideal candidate for the Dyslexia specialist teacher will have a SpLD qualification at Level 7, though an experienced and skilled Dyslexia teacher with a Level 5 qualification would also fit the bill. You will need to be able to plan and work independently whilst also enjoying collaborative work with colleagues. You will also be an excellent communicator and have a passion for English and improving outcomes for students with Dyslexia and other literacy difficulties.
