OnDemand: Bite Size 1 JCQ Access Arrangements Essentials: Extra Time

The Bite-size Essentials series has been fully revised and updated in line with the JCQ AARA regulations for 2021-22.


Each session addresses a key aspect of exam access arrangements providing you with a detailed overview of the relevant processes and regulations, ensuring that your knowledge and practice are up to date.

Course Description

The courses cover the following key areas:

Extra Time

  • Regulations governing applications for extra time
  • Knowing which candidates are eligible for extra time
  • Knowing which route to use when applying for extra time
  • Determining which candidates may need more than 25% extra time

Target Audience

The courses are suitable for assessors, SENDCos, Access Arrangements Co-ordinators and Heads of Centre.


This course is on demand. Delegates will have direct access to the event in the ‘Online Events’ section of their account for two weeks from the payment date, and can watch as any times as they like during that period. Please allow a few minutes for it to appear, or refresh the page if necessary.

Delegates will be able to download handouts and print off to have with them while watching the recordings.
