OnDemand: Mindfulness - An Effective Tool to Improve Learning for Primary Aged Learners

Research has demonstrated that Mindfulness can be an effective and powerful tool for learners with learning differences to help them improve their concentration, reading and studying.


This half day course is a recording of a live event and will give delegates the opportunity to observe practical application of Mindfulness techniques and approaches.

Course Description

The initial focus of the training is around learners at risk of mental health issues or who are facing mental health issues, which may arise from their learning difference or from other academic pressures.

Participants will be able to observe and participate in a range of mindfulness exercises and learn how to take this back to their classrooms/offices and adapt them for your own professional setting.  

The webinar includes how to use mindfulness to aid mental health awareness, identify choices.  It will offer exercises and advice about staying calm, helping to take control of feelings and impulsive reactions.  It will offer a range of mindfulness techniques and strategies that are suitable for the primary-aged child.

  • Mindfulness and study strategies
  • Understand how the body responds to identifying choices, feelings (what that feels like in the body), impulsive reactions and how to stay calm
  • Reactions and reactions to others, building resilience and improving focus


This course is on demand and is a recording of a live event.

Course Materials

Delegates will be able to download ectronic copies of the handouts, but will be responsible for printing off their own copies.
