We began the new academic year with 43 members attending a maths workshop led by Ian Sugarman, of ‘Numbergym’. We had an interactive session using a range of equipment and Ian shared techniques he had used when working as a teacher and maths advisor; he also demonstrated aspects of his Numbergym software.

Our second meeting was a sharing resources and discussion of problem areas evening which followed on from our AGM. It had been decided to hold the AGM this year separate from a talk in the hope more members would attend. We were fortunate in adding two new members to the committee.
