Understanding and Supporting Learners with Dyslexia Level 2

A brand-new online course brought to you by Liz Horobin of Patoss in partnership with Rachel Ingham and Helen Wells of SEND Solutions. Accredited by CPDSO.

How does it work?

The course is delivered entirely online via a bespoke Moodle platform. When you sign up to Level 2, you will be given access for six months so that you can listen to the materials as often as you like and work through them at your own pace.

The Level 2 course consists of five modules divided into short sections, allowing you to learn in manageable chunks. It involves around 13 hours of study (equivalent to 13 CPD hours).

  • Module 1: Neurodiversity and Dyslexia
  • Module 2: The impact of dyslexia: phonics and reading
  • Module 3: The impact of dyslexia: spelling and writing
  • Module 4: Enabling environments
  • Module 5: Interventions and monitoring progress

An interactive quiz at the end of each module enables you to review and check your understanding of the key points.

Successful completion of all the quizzes leads to the award of the Level 2 certificate and the option to progress to Level 3.

As well as achieving accredited certification on completion, you will also be eligible for Affiliate Membership of Patoss, to continue your professional development and awareness.

Timings/Access

Once delegates have booked and paid for the course, the admin team will email with log-in details to access the course which is hosted on Moodle. The Admin Team's working hours are 9.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday. Access is for six months.

If paying by card (please ensure the billing address and card address match), access will usually be given on the same working day if the booking is made within working hours. If paying by invoice, access will be given on payment of that invoice. If paying by BACS, you will need to give our finance department a day or so to link the payment to the invoice.
